BLC14 Session #3 Kids Flipping Kids: Producing Student Centered/Created Videos

Have you heard of http://mathtrain.tv/? Well you should really check it out if you haven't. Back in 2006 Eric Marcos, a math teacher from California started encouraging his students to create video tutorials on various math concepts. The idea took off and since then his students have completely driven the idea. Eric now runs a website called www.mathtrain.tv where all his students videos are posted.

When asked about why he thinks he students enjoy making videos, he responded very simply by stating it gives them purpose and purpose is what drives creation. The purpose being that there is a global audience out there to not only share your learning with but also to help in the learning. I couldn't agree more!

Here a few of the applications and resources Eric mentioned when asked about how to get started with making video tutorials.
